Dr. Allen F. Chapman noted for maintained success in higher education
HARTFORD, CT, June 10, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Allen F. Chapman, who has retired as a Professor from Rensselaer at Hartford, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of higher education.
Dr. Chapman enjoyed a fruitful 30-year career in higher education. A respected authority on finance management, he spent 20 years as a professor and 10 years as a dean. At Rensselaer at Hartford, where he concluded his career, he was in charge of hiring faculty, improving programs, and supporting the development of new programs. Dr. Chapman attributes his success and longevity to his ability to make the most of every opportunity that comes his way and to the discipline and learning skills that he acquired while serving as an officer in the U.S. Navy.
An alumnus of Harvard Business School, Dr. Chapman completed his Doctorate in Finance in 1965. He volunteers with the Second Congregational Church in his spare time.
