Hodgins Smith CDM joins First Response
Two of the UK's top health and safety consultancy and training providers, First Response Training and Hodgins Smith CDM, have joined forces.

PERSHORE, ENGLAND, November 08, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- First Response merged with Hodgins Smith (CDM) Limited, who are a Prestwick-based provider of health & safety consultancy and training solutions have joined with First Response to form a service that will be available to organisations nationally.

Hodgins Smith employs 10 people who operate throughout Scotland. Susan Hodgins, Office Manager, commented, "This is an extremely exciting time for us. Hodgins Smith's depth of knowledge has created a solid client base which includes many high profile businesses within Scotland including Harper Collins, South Ayrshire Council, Lothian and Ayrshire NHS. With Hodgins Smith, First Response will become one of a handful of providers in the UK that can offer such a comprehensive range of health and safety consulting and training solutions at national level that positions them in front of the crowd.

The enriched portfolio aims to reduce the risk of accidents by developing a health & safety culture within organisations. In addition, sector specific non accredited courses both offer a range of accredited courses by CIEH, EDI, IOSH, NCFE, REHIS the HSE and qualifications by SQA and City & Guilds.

First Response Training and Consultancy Services Limited, as it is formally called, have enjoyed successful year on year growth in its 12 year history predominately in the training sector. Even during today's economic climate First Response's turnover increased by 10% last year and the group expects 65% growth this year by entering into new markets across Scotland and the rest of the UK.
