MANITOWOC, WI, December 18, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert L. Nelson, Ph.D., Principal (Retired), Teacher (Retired), has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education and administrative operations.

Now retired, Dr. Nelson has 37 years of experience in the education field. With an expertise in reading and children's literature, he took responsibility in teaching elementary, secondary, university, graduate school and adult education, practicing for grades one through three in a one room school house and mentoring kindergarten students. He attributes his success to his determination and dedication.

Dr. Nelson received his Ph.D. in reading and children's literature from Michigan State University, his master's degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, his master's degree in reading from Ohio State University and his bachelor of education from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He is a recipient of an Ohio State Scholarship Award and a Chico State Scholarship Award for English. In his spare time, he does volunteer work for his local library, and the Manitowoc County Historical Society.
