Ira S. Walter has been a recognized leader in global compensation and benefits for more than 20 years

BASKING RIDGE, NJ, November 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ira S. Walter, Senior Vice President, Global Total Rewards of the Human Resources Department at Unilever, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in global compensation, benefits and pensions, shareholder governance matters, global socio-economic trends, and global business.

Ira Walter joined Unilever in 2005, bringing with him 20 years of industry experience on which to successfully serve as Senior Vice President, Global Total Rewards for the Human Resources Department at Unilever. Currently, he designs, develops, and manages the company's Global Compensation and Benefits Programs; and facilitates the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors. Additionally, he supervises a global staff of 50 employees. Mr. Walter has an intense interest in global socio-economic events and thoroughly enjoys meeting workers across many cultures, countries, and income classes. In the future, he hopes to teach global business and economics to university students, and to consult with organizations to find solutions to global business challenges.

Mr. Walter earned a MBA from the University of Michigan in 1975, and a BA from Binghamton University, N.Y., in 1973. His interests include international travel, playing bridge, reading and tennis.
