Dr. Robert Lee West is a member of the United States & Canadian Academy of Pathology

GREENVILLE, NC, August 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Robert Lee West, Professor of Pathology for East Carolina University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.

With 50 years of professional experience, Dr. West's expertise is in anatomic and clinical pathology. At East Carolina University, he attends conferences and creates clinical programs. Additionally, Dr. West is the Associate director of autopsy at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. Formerly, he spent two years working at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

In 1959, Dr. West received an MD from The University of North Carolina. He completed postgraduate training in anatomic and clinical pathology and is certified by The American Board of Pathology. He is a member of the North Carolina Medical Society, the American Medical Association, and the United States & Canadian Academy of Pathology. In 2009, Dr. West was recognized by East Carolina University with The University Service Award.
