A 43-year veteran of the medical profession, Dr. Becker specializes in diabetes, endocrinology, and metabolic processes. He now manages his own successful practice in San Francisco, where he maintains a solid reputation for working with diabetics and patients with other endocrine and metabolic disorders. Also an educator, Dr. Becker imparts his knowledge to medical students at the University of California, San Francisco.

In recognition of his contributions to the health care field, Dr. Becker was recognized by Cambridge Who's Who in 2010 as a Professional of the Year in Endocrinology and Metabolism. This special distinction is reserved for exceptional professionals based on their accomplishments, academic achievements and leadership abilities. Dr. Becker earned an MD in 1963 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. In his free time, he volunteers with World ORT.
